FILM & DISCUSSION monthly in December (12/29/20, at 7 pm)
This month’s film is “Crazy Rich Asians” directed by Jon M. Chu in 2018. This film is based on the 2013 novel of the same title by Kevin Kwan. Kwan stated that his intention in writing the novel was to "introduce a contemporary Asia to a North American audience". He claimed the novel was loosely based on his own childhood in Singapore.
Watch the film on you own before we meet, then join us on Zoom.
Moderator: Toni Friedman, International Policy graduate student at Stanford University. Friedman worked in China for 3 years.
Free register at Eventbrite. We will send you the zoom link the Sunday before the event.
The discussion is open to the public. Registration is required.
