Chinese Arts Alliance on Nashville (CAAN) collaborates with Plaza Mariachi to present Chinese New Year of the Dragon Celebration at Plaza Mariachi on Feb 17, Saturday from 4 PM to 6:30 PM.
Free event, open to the public with all ages. Plaza Mariachi is located at 3955 Nolensville Pike, Nashville.

2024 New Year is special, we are welcoming the Chinese New Year of the Dragon. The Chinese Dragon symbolizes power, royalty, and wealth.
Dress as your favorite Chinese characters, Chinese outfits, ass a dragon, or simply in red. Red is the lucky color of the Chinese New Year!
The event starts with arts/crafts for families. We are also planning to hold a Chinese Naming, Kungfu, and TaiChi workshop! Nashville Ballet’s teaching artist Shabaz Ujima is going to teach Dragon Movements Exploration!
New this year is to use make paper lantern to build a Lantern Dragon; Let’s see how long we can build it!
An exciting performance of lion dance, dragon dance, Chinese dance, rhymes and TaiChi Sword will be among the performances to share with the public.
